The General Store is an independent food bank and zero-waste supermarket based at our venue in York city centre. We provide groceries for the local community, which are subsidised through the Spark York C.I.C model.

We run The General Store every Wednesday and Saturday 9:00am - 10:30am. We work closely with FareShare by focusing on the quality of food supplies that can support lower-income families and individuals across York who may be struggling with food insecurity.

So how does it work? Fill a bag for £1 and grab as much as you need! 

All takings get reinvested back into the General Store to improve its provision and outreach.
