Martin's Greek roots and passion for food have blossomed into this unique venture and it’s truly inspiring to see the sheer effort and hard work which has been going into growing their brand. How did you get the idea for your business?
We wanted to offer York and its visitors the best and most authentic Greek street food.
What's the first thing you did to bring that idea to life?
I knew the product quite well in my head but still put the project down on paper, and at the same time, I spoke to the people who I knew would help me make this project real and successful.
What's the best part of running your own business? What's the hardest?
First thought was to build a business that would sell its product well and give me that financial autonomy that most of us are looking for, but now I can say that the best part of running the business is the feedback we get every day from our customers. Seeing them coming back makes us feel that our purpose is much bigger than just running a successful business. The hardest part remains human resources.
What would you say to someone considering starting their own business?
Never stop trying.
