Working with partners, YorkMix are ensuring that no child wakes up on Christmas Day without a gift. While most of us look forward to Christmas there are some children for whom it is just another day. Every year there are families who through no fault of their own dread the thought of the festive season, people who can’t afford to treat their loved ones and won’t be sharing in the Christmas cheer.
So, Spark:York are asking people to donate a new & unwrapped toy at the YorkMix Toy Appeal.
It's nice to do nice things, so on Tuesday 10th December, we will be giving 10% off a drink for every toy donated. That includes our low intervention wines, experimental craft beers, ciders, and an impressive low and no alcohol range. Tis the season - so mulled wine is also available!
From there, the toys will delivered by the YorkMix elves & given to the children who need them most in our local area.
We're collecting gifts for children of all ages from babies and pre-schoolers who might receive traditional toys and games from the appeal through to teenagers for whom you might consider donating items such as health and beauty products.
YorkMix and Spark:York want to make sure that no child goes without.
